Hello, I am Rajul!
My culinary journey began growing up in Kenya, where I was fortunate to be surrounded by hearty, fresh, and natural meals. The fresh produce came directly from the local farmers to our table, grocery shopping was always done in the local markets versus a supermarket. My mum inspired me with the wholesome, fresh meals during my childhood. Having been brought up in a vegetarian home has left a lasting impression on me, and I often find myself yearning for those flavours. I am keen in exploring new flavour combinations, creating wholesome vegetarian dishes with an edge of freshness and simplicity.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve dedicated myself to experimenting in the kitchen, always striving to create dishes that are flavourful, nourishing and simple. Cooking nourishing food has become a true passion of mine. With an 8-year-old boy bursting with energy and a husband who is a lover of food, it’s important to keep meals wholesome and satiating. When people ask what a vegetarian eats every day, I am excited to share that the options are endless and far from bland soups and salads which are not appealing, leave you feeling hungry and do not have any therapeutic value.
To further my passion, I became a Holistic Health Coach from the School of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), a Qualified Culinary Nutritionist from The Academy of Culinary Nutrition, and I am currently advancing my expertise as a Functional Nutrition Coach. My training encompasses more than 100 dietary theories, focusing on addressing the root causes of ailments through clean eating and smart meal planning.
Losing my mum after her tough battle with leukaemia and witnessing the physical and mental struggles she endured, ignited a deep desire within me to help individuals make holistic, mindful choices in their eating habits. I believe disease manifests when the body is in a state of dis-ease, signalling the need to address the root causes of imbalance through thoughtful, holistic nutrition.
My goal is to educate and inspire others to make smart choices that foster wellness, sustained energy, balanced bodies, and enhanced vitality. Drawing from my extensive knowledge and personal experience, I have developed workshops and coaching services designed to empower individuals. Participants leave with a fresh mindset, new knowledge, and a newfound confidence that emerges through their transformation in mind and body.
